MIRANDA ROSE

We all have times in our lives when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or find ourselves repeating habitual patterns that no longer serve us. Navigating these experiences can be challenging and often emotionally intense. However, as Pema Chodron puts it, “nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know”. Counselling can be a place to make sense of our experiences, gain clarity about our choices, and to feel heard, understood, and at times supportively challenged as we embark on this journey. In this process new possibilities for change can emerge as we discover new insights, perspectives, and ways to attend to our emotions.

I focus on active listening, attunement, building strong rapport and holding a supportive space for reflection, exploration and growth. I am an empathic counsellor with experience working in community health settings in alcohol and other drugs services, as well as in mental health. In my private practice Evolving Door Counselling I offer short and long term individual counselling and psychotherapy, as well as creative arts therapy.

I am a clinical member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).
